There are two ways to check your balance. You can login to My Verizon online, and view your balance from the overview page (along with minutes used). Or, if you're on the go, you can dial #BAL + Send (airtime free) from your wireless phone.

How do I upgrade my equipment?
You can upgrade your wireless phone online through My Verizon.
- Log in to My Verizon (new users will need to register first).
- Select the Account Maintenance tab.
- Click the Upgrade Phone tab.
- Choose the mobile telephone number to upgrade.
- Select the new handset.
- Choose accessories (if applicable).
- Preview the order.
- Checkout (enter shipping and payment information).
Please note: Pricing may vary based on the date you last received a discount on new equipment. To see if you are eligible for the New Every Two discount, login to My Verizon and click on the "My Phone" tab to view the New Every Two meter.

What do I do if my phone is lost or stolen?
If your device is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged (including liquid and physical damage), and you are enrolled in Total Equipment Coverage or the Asurion Wireless Phone Protection program, file your insurance claim directly with Asurion.
- First - If your equipment is lost or stolen, sign in to My Verizon online, and choose the 'Suspend/Resume Service' link under Quick Links on the overview page. You will then be guided through the steps to either Suspend or Resume your service. [You can also dial (800) 922-0204 (from any phone) and complete this task via our Interactive Voice Response (IVR)].

How do I download ringtones?
Below are specific instructions on how to download custom ringtones on our most popular handsets. Please note the actual steps may vary from handset to handset, but the basic process is the same.
- Access the Get It Now shopping menu on the handset.
- Select "Get Tones".
- Select the desired ringtone application.
- Select the desired pricing option.
- When finished downloading the chosen credits or uses, you will receive the message "App installed successfully. Would you like to run it now?" Select Yes.
- You are now able to search through the application to locate the specific tone you wish to download. After selecting the desired tone, it will be downloaded to the handset and saved to the local memory on the handset.
- Access the appropriate menu on the handset to change the ringer and select the downloaded ringtone as the default ringer.

How do I check my data usage?
There are two easy ways to track megabyte usage:
VZAccess Manager
VZAccess Manager comes with the purchase of your PC Card, ExpressCard®, USB modem, Intelligent Mobile Hotspot1, and Mobile Broadband Built-In.
To check usage:
- Select the Networks tab.
- Select the Usage button.
My Verizon
To check usage:
- Log in to My Verizon. If you have not registered select "Register for My Verizon".
- Select the Data tab in the Cell Usage pod on the left hand of the page.
When setting up an account for the first time, a temporary password is sent to your Mobile Broadband device, viewable on the TXT Messaging tab in VZAccess Manager.
1When using the Intelligent Mobile Hotpot, you must connect with the included USB cable to check your usage and update preferred roaming lists (PRLs) in VZAccess Manager.
