Service and Device Checklist

We know how important it is for you to understand what is and isn’t included before subscribing to a wireless service plan or choosing a device. Below are questions you should ask when choosing from our general service and device offerings.


Name of Service Plan:

Plan Allowances:

  • How many (and what type of) voice minutes does the plan include?
  • How many (and what type of) messages does the plan include?
  • What volume of data does the plan include?
    • Are there restrictions or prohibitions on how I may use the data service?
    • If so, what are they?


Charges:

  • What is the plan’s monthly charge?
  • What are the charges for exceeding my plan’s voice, messaging, or data allowances ?
  • What are the pay-per-use charges for:
    • Voice
    • Messaging
    • Data
  • What is the activation fee, if any?


Devices:

  • What is the price of the device?
    • Does the price vary if taken without a term contract versus with a term contract?
    • If so, what are the prices?
  • Does the device require a specific service plan?
  • If so, which plan?


Coverage Area:

  • What is my plan’s Coverage Area?
    • Are there limitations?
    • If charges apply for domestic (i.e., US) roaming outside my plan’s Coverage Area, what are they?
  • Will I incur roaming charges if I use my phone in other countries?
    • Where can I get information on the costs of using my phone in a specific country?


Term Contracts:

  • How long is the term of this service contract?
  • What is the early termination fee if I cancel before completing the contract term?
    • Does the early termination fee decline over time?
    • If so, how?
