Changing Your Rate Plan / Equipment / Pricing Compatibility

If you are a converted Alltel customer and would like to change your rate plan please use the below information when completing this process.
  • If you have an Alltel device and calling plan and you would like to change to a Verizon calling plan, you will need to upgrade to a Verizon device to switch to a Verizon calling plan. Alltel devices cannot be activated on Verizon calling plans.
  • If you have an Alltel device and calling plan and you would like to move to a different former Alltel rate plan within that rate plan Family, (ex. From a Family Choice 1000 Plus plan to a Family Choice 2000 plus plan) you can make this calling plan change.
  • After the billing conversion, some former Alltel rate plans may no longer be available to switch to even if you are keeping your Alltel device.
  • If you have a Verizon device would like to move to a former Alltel calling plan, your service should work the same, but there will be some billing differences.
    • Basic / Non-HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) devices bill data as MOU (Minutes of Use) unless you select the $9.99 25 MB Data Feature or the $29.99 Unlimited Data Feature.
    • HTML devices bill data as MB (Megabyte). Please consider the $9.99 25 MB Data Feature or the $29.99 Unlimited Data Features. If one of these plans is not selected, your account will default to the pay per use data rate of $1.99 per Megabyte.
