Changing Your Rate Plan / Equipment / Pricing Compatibility
If you are a converted Alltel customer and would like to change your rate plan please use the below information when completing this process.- If you have an Alltel device and calling plan and you would like to change to a Verizon calling plan, you will need to upgrade to a Verizon device to switch to a Verizon calling plan. Alltel devices cannot be activated on Verizon calling plans.
- If you have an Alltel device and calling plan and you would like to move to a different former Alltel rate plan within that rate plan Family, (ex. From a Family Choice 1000 Plus plan to a Family Choice 2000 plus plan) you can make this calling plan change.
- After the billing conversion, some former Alltel rate plans may no longer be available to switch to even if you are keeping your Alltel device.
- If you have a Verizon device would like to move to a former Alltel calling plan, your service should work the same, but there will be some billing differences.
- Basic / Non-HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) devices bill data as MOU (Minutes of Use) unless you select the $9.99 25 MB Data Feature or the $29.99 Unlimited Data Feature.
- HTML devices bill data as MB (Megabyte). Please consider the $9.99 25 MB Data Feature or the $29.99 Unlimited Data Features. If one of these plans is not selected, your account will default to the pay per use data rate of $1.99 per Megabyte.

Examples:
- You are currently on a converted Alltel price plan using a converted Alltel device. The customer wants to change to the Nationwide Talk and Text Plan. Is this possible?
Answer: Yes. You can change, however you must also change to a Verizon Wireless device - You are currently on a Greater/National freedom plan and want to increase your allotted minutes. Do they have to move to a Verizon Wireless plan?
Answer: No. You can move up or down within the Greater/National Freedom price structure)
