Over the Air (OTA) System Update: PalmŪ Pixi™ Plus

For the OTA System Update there are two phases: Download and Install. Follow the instructions for downloading and installing the System Update to your Palm Pixi Plus device.

OTA Update Download Conditions
  1. Your device must have at least a 60% charge to download the update automatically.
  2. If the charge is below 30%, the download will pause and charge the device until it is back above 30%.
  3. You can choose to manually update at any time.

OTA Update Install Conditions
  1. You must have at least a 30% charge to install an update.
  2. You can choose to “Install Now” or “Install Later”.
    • If no response is selected, update will install after 10 minutes.
  3. The battery should never be removed while an update is being installed.

OTA System Update Instructions for Auto Check with Wi-Fi & EvDO

  1. For over WI-FI and EvDO, the device checks in for the available updates. If the update is available, the device performs the download seamless to your device.
    • After 48 hours over the Verizon Wireless network.
  2. Once update is downloaded, the “Install Now” screen is displayed. Tap “Install Now”, to install the update.


  3. The device will reboot once the install phase is complete.

OTA System Update Instructions for Manual Check

  1. Tap the “Updates” app.


  2. The device will check for a new update. If an update is available, the basic information about the update will be displayed.


  3. Tap “Download Now” to initiate the download phase.


  4. Once the download completes, tap “Install Now” to begin the install phase.


  5. The device will reboot once the install phase is complete. Once the reboot is complete, tap “Done”.
