How To Use Guide: Mobile IM

Windows Live Messenger

1. Select "Windows Live Messenger" from the Mobile IM Title Screen.
   
   

1. Login.
   
   
   1. Sign in using your Windows Live Messenger sign-in name.
   2. After you sign in you will be prompted to save your password. Selecting "Yes" or "Save My Password" means you won’t have to enter your name and password every time you sign in.
      
      

1. Add a Contact
   
   
   1. Under the Options menu, select "Add Contact". Enter in the email address.
      
      
      
      

      Contact List Group

      After you sign in, the screen will automatically display active conversations and any Contacts who are online, while it downloads your list. Select the "Refresh List/Refresh Contact List" window from the Options menu at any time to update the status of your list. The status icon will blink until your updated list is received.

1. Conversation Window
   
   1. From the Contact List screen, you can modify using the menu , send a message or view active conversations .
   2. To send a message, highlight the contact with the up/down navigation key and press "OK". This will launch a conversation window.
   3. Type your message and press "SEND". Once the message is sent, it will appear in the conversation window. Incoming messages from this contact will also be displayed in this window.
