How to Get VZ NavigatorSM or VZ Navigator Global on Your BlackBerry® Storm™ or Tour™

The BlackBerry Storm and Tour do not come preinstalled with an icon for VZ Navigator Global. To download VZ Navigator Global, you must follow the steps below.

Note: VZ Navigator domestic users can purchase service from the device, or visit your online portal (My Verizon, My Business Account or Verizon Enterprise Center) to add the feature.

In order to have VZ Navigator Global added to your account, you must have a Global DataRoaming plan on your account. Contact a Verizon Wireless Representative at (800) 2 JOIN IN (256-4646), dial *611 from your Verizon Wireless device, or visit a Verizon Wireless store.
    1. If you have not done so already, enable position location on your device. Refer to instructions on how to enable position location.

        1. Select "Options" and then "Advanced Options".


      1. Select "GPS Services" and select "Location On".


    1. Go to "VZW Today".

      1. Open the Web Browser on your device and click on the "Home Page" link. This will load VZW Today.



        Note: If this link is not available, enter "http://wap.vzw.mcore.com/" in the web browser.

    1. Click "Get Apps" and then select "VZ Navigator" or "VZ Navigator Global" from the list.


    1. Download and install VZ Navigator.

        1. Click on the "Download VZ Navigator" link at the bottom of the page.


        1. Click on the blue "Download" button.


      1. Follow the on-screen instructions to install VZ Navigator.
      2. The screen will display: "VZ Navigator is requesting changes to its application control permissions. Select "VIEW".
      3. Use the "Menu" key (BlackBerry Key) and select "SAVE".
      4. Your device may ask you to restart. If so, select "Yes", and your device will restart. If not asked, close the browser and go to the next step.

  1. Open VZ Navigator

      1. Open VZ Navigator or VZ Navigator Global by going to your home screen and select the "VZ Navigator" icon. (Optionally, this icon can be found in the Downloads folder.)


    1. The remainder of the application will download, and then you will be asked to accept the End User License Agreement.

If you are a BlackBerry Administrator follow these instructions* for installing VZ Navigator via the BlackBerry Enterpise Server. You will need to download the ALX file.
