What is required to use V CASTSM Music on my Q™ or the Q9m?

You must download the free V CAST Music application to your phone. To do this, you need to have VZAppZone on your phone and download V CAST Music from within that application.
For the Q9m:
The V CAST Music application is built into your phone. Simply launch the application.
Select "V CAST Music" to launch the program. To access the V CAST Music store requires V CAST coverage. The first time you access the V CAST Music store you will see the following statement, "Your use of this service indicates your acceptance of terms of the V CAST Music License and Use Agreement ('Agreement') you received when you purchased your phone, which can also be viewed on VerizonWireless.com. If you do not accept all of the terms and conditions in the Agreement, do not use this service. You also agree that data usage for browsing, previewing, purchasing, and downloading music on the V CAST Music catalog will be billed per your data plan/feature." Press "I Accept" to continue or "END" to exit. To enter V CAST Music, you will need to accept the terms. -
I don’t have VZAppZone on my handset. How do I get it?
If you have a Motorola Q™ or Q9m, you may browse the following URL from your device: http://ota.getvzappzone.com, and click "Download" to begin the installation process. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

What is the process to download the V CASTSM Music application to my Q™?
- Launch VZAppZone client.
- Select "Get Applications" menu.
- Select "Personal Applications Catalog."
- Select "V CAST Music."
- Follow prompts.
- Go to Home screen, select "Start," select "V CAST Music."

How do I listen to music on my Motorola Q™ or Q9m phone?
For the Q™:
On your Motorola Q Smartphone, you’ll use Windows Media® Player 10 Mobile to play and manage your music. Select "Windows Media Player" from your Programs.
- To find specific songs to play, then select "Library."
- Then select from "All Music," "Artist," "Album" or "Genre."
- You may need to select "Menu."
- Select "Library."
- Then choose either "My Device" or "Storage Card" depending on where you saved your music. Also, you may need to "Update Library" to find newly downloaded music.
On your Motorola Q9m Smartphone, you can use either the Multimedia home screen or the standard home screen to access the music player.
- On the Multimedia home screen:
- Select top-right "Video/Music" icon.
- Then select the "Music Library" icon (from left side menu column).
- Choose any song in the "Music" sub-folder to start playing a song.
- On the standard home screen:
- You will use Windows Media Player 10 Mobile to play and manage your music.
- Select "Windows Media Player" from your programs.
- To find specific songs to play, select "Library."
- Then choose from "All Music," "Artist," "Album" or "Genre."
- You many need to select "Menu," then "Library" and choose either "My Device" or "Storage Card" depending on where you saved your music. Also you may need to "Update Library" to find newly downloaded music.

When should I "Update Library" within V CASTSM Music on the Motorola Q™ and Q9m?
When you download new music that you’ve purchased from the V CASTSM Music store or synchronize music from your PC, the files may not immediately appear in your phone’s library. Use the “Update Library” function to find and show the files.
- From within your phone’s Windows Media® Player, select "Menu."
- Then "Update Library."
- When complete, select "Done."

How do I move songs in V CASTSM Music on the Motorola Q™ and Q9m from the phone internal memory to or from the memory card?
You can use "File Manager" to move songs. Note: If the music file is protected, it may not play when it has been moved.
