Troubleshooting

  1. Why am I getting a “Failed Login” error in Email and Web for Smartphone?

If you get this error, check that you’ve entered your user ID and password correctly in the Sign In screen. In many cases passwords are case sensitive so it is important to use the correct capitalization.

  2. I use Email and Web for Smartphone. Why is my Inbox always empty or why do I only see my newest emails?

This problem can occur if you are using an email account other than Yahoo!® Mail, Windows Live® Hotmail®, AOL®, AIM, and Verizon.net accounts. With some POP accounts when you download an email it may be removed from the server and no longer available to download. If you are signed in on your PC and have set up your account so that emails get downloaded automatically, the emails will be downloaded to your PC and deleted from the email server; they are therefore no longer available for download to your Smartphone.

You can solve this issue by changing your PC settings so that a copy of your emails is kept on the email server.
