  2. How many countries can I travel to and use Global Data on my device?

    We currently support over 200 countries, more than 150 with 3G. There are more than 110 countries covered in the Global Data Plan with your allowance. Please visit here for coverage information.

  3. If I have a technical problem while traveling, how do I get assistance with Global Data?

    Simply call the Global Services Technical Support Team:

    • Inside the United States: (800) 922-0204.
    • Outside of the United States: Please dial the appropriate exit code for the country you are in and then (908) 559-4899.

  4. What do I need to do to make sure I have everything set up to use my Global device before I travel abroad?

    Simply purchase a Global Capable device and select one of our Global Data options that best fits your travel needs. All of our Global Capable devices in our current line-up come with a Pre-Installed SIM card to access GSM and UMTS Networks while outside of the United States. You can also access data in many CDMA countries with your Verizon Wireless CDMA device.

  5. Should I set up my Global Data prior to my travel abroad?

    If you intend to use email on your Smartphone while abroad, we recommend you set it up prior to traveling to ensure you are able to send and receive email before you leave. Please call Customer Service at (800) 922-0204 or dial *611 from your Verizon Wireless Device.

  6. Do I need to change any device settings in order to connect globally with Global Data?

    In a few countries where both CDMA and GSM networks are present or where multiple GSM networks are available, you may have to manually switch to the appropriate network to get Global Data on a smartphone depending upon the availability of data in the CDMA or GSM network that you are currently connected to. Please refer to your device’s User Guide for details on how to manually switch the network mode.

    Below is a list of countries where you may need to manually switch your device’s network mode to get email.
