  1. What is Verizon Apps?

    Verizon Apps is our mobile storefront which delivers thousands of games, productivity apps and more to Smartphones and tablets. Verizon Apps enables you to discover, purchase and use apps from your mobile device. Apps can also be purchased online in the Media Store.

  2. Do I use airtime or data when I'm using an app?

    Not always. Some apps do not incur airtime or data charges during usage. However, there are some apps that will require your device to make a network connection for purposes such as retrieving and posting high scores, updating daily horoscopes or playing games against other subscribers. In these instances, airtime or data charges are incurred.

  3. Do I use airtime or data when I'm removing an app?

    Apps that were downloaded as purchases do not incur airtime or data charges during removal from your device.

  4. Can I use Verizon Apps anywhere in the Verizon Wireless network? Even when roaming?

    Verizon Apps usage and downloading is available in the US, wherever your device can receive a signal on the Verizon Wireless network (including roaming). If the app you downloaded from Verizon Apps does not require a network connection, you can use it anywhere.

Using Verizon Apps

  1. Where can I find a list of app categories available in Verizon Apps?

    You can select the Verizon Apps header to see a list of available app categories through which you can browse.

    When you first launch Verizon Apps, a “Tap heading for Categories” message will appear below the header to remind you that this option is available.

  2. When using Verizon Apps, what is the Search icon?

    The Search icon, located in the header in the Verizon Apps store, allows you to search the entire catalog for available apps. Once you enter your search term, your search results can be sorted by Top Paid, Top Free or All.

  3. When using Verizon Apps, what is the Wish List icon?

    The Wish List heart icon is located on the Home screen of Verizon Apps or in the Options menu. Selecting the Wish List icon will take you to a current list of apps that you have chosen to save for viewing later.

  4. When using Verizon Apps, what is the Your Apps icon?

    Your Apps is your single place to view, launch and rate all of your previous purchases. You can also view if updates are available for the app. Your Apps can be found by selecting the Option icon in the footer of the Verizon Apps Home page or by pressing the Menu button on your device.

  5. How can I sort Verizon Apps?

    There are two ways to sort apps. When browsing, you can sort your app listing or search results by  Top Paid, Top Free or All. You can also select the Filter icon located in the header to filter by Name, Developer, Top Downloaded, Top Rated, Release Date or Price.

  6. How can I change language settings for Verizon Apps?

    Follow the steps below to change the language settings:

    1. When browsing, press the Menu button on your device.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Then select the language of your choice.

  7. What is Tell-a-friend within Verizon Apps?

    If you find an app you want to share with a friend, you can send them a message through Verizon Apps with the following steps:

    1. Go to the App Details page.
    2. Select the Share option.
    3. Select Tell-a-friend.
    4. Select the entry field and choose a mobile number from your contacts or type in the phone number directly.
    5. When finished, select the number itself and message options will appear. You can type in your own message or use one that is provided.
    6. Select Send.

  8. How can I browse Verizon Apps?

    You can browse the Verizon Apps catalog by selecting the Verizon Apps header on the Home screen. A list of app categories will display. Some of the available categories are Featured, Top Downloaded and Top Sellers.

  9. What does “Available for redownload” mean within Verizon Apps?

    If you accidentally delete a previously downloaded app, you can redownload it by making this selection.

    Apps available for redownload can be found in the Your Apps folder in the Options menu.

  10. How can I rate a Verizon App?

    If you purchased an app, look for it in the Your Apps folder. Once you find the app, select the Rate option to select the number of stars you would like to rate the app. Apps can be rated on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 for not recommend and 5 for highly recommend.

  11. How do I add an app to my Wish List?

    You can add an app to your Wish List to view later by selecting the heart icon on the Summary tab of the App Details page. Select the heart icon again to remove the app from your Wish List.

  12. How can I find an item not listed in the Verizon Apps catalog?

    If you can’t find the app you are looking for by browsing the categories in Verizon Apps, try using the search function. Select Search in the Verizon Apps header and enter your search term.

    Note: App availability varies by device. If a specific app doesn’t appear in the Verizon App store, it may not be compatible with your device.
