  1. How do I pay my bill online?

    To pay your bill online:

    1. Make sure you are signed in to My Verizon and go to the Payments” page.
    2. In the “Payment Amount” field enter the amount you want to pay.
    3. Select a payment method and click the “Next” button.
    4. Enter any additional requested information and check the box indicating you agree with the Terms and Conditions.
    5. Click on the “Submit” button.

  2. When will my payment be debited from my checking account?

    For scheduled payments, it will be debited from your checking account on the scheduled payment date. For one-time payments, it will be debited within 24 hours of submitting the payment.

  3. When will my payment be charged to my credit/debit card?

    For scheduled payments, it will be charged on the scheduled payment date. For one-time payments, it will be charged within 24 hours of submitting the payment.

  4. What forms of payment does Verizon Wireless accept?

    Payments can be made by check, ATM / debit / credit card, or Verizon Wireless gift card.

  5. Is there a charge for any payment method?

    You may incur charges from your bank if the transaction is processed as an ATM card. However, Verizon Wireless does not charge any fee for an ATM card transaction.

  6. Is there a charge for a returned check?

    Yes, there is a $25 non-sufficient funds fee for a returned check.

  7. What debit cards are accepted for payment?

    Verizon Wireless accepts debit cards that contain a Visa® or Mastercard® logo.

  8. How do I view my payment history?

    To view your payment history:

    1. Make sure you are logged in to My Verizon and go to the Payment History” page.
    2. The “Payment History” page will display payments you’ve made over the last 12 months. Any failed payments over the past 12 months will also appear here along with details about why the payment(s) failed.

  9. Why am I being asked to authenticate my credit card or enroll in the SecureCard program?

    If your bank participates in the Verified by Visa® or MasterCard® SecureCode program you will be asked to authenticate your credit card or enroll in the SecureCard program.

    3D Secure is an online credit or debit card password feature, used by bank card issuers to reduce fraud by asking for your authentication.

  10. What is a payment account?

    A payment account is a stored account that contains already-verified information about a checking account or credit/debit card. Payment accounts save time by allowing you to make a payment without having to enter your checking account or credit/debit card information each time.

    Notes:

    • You can set up multiple payment accounts.
    • For security purposes, any payment account stored on file will be automatically removed if it is not used for a period of six months.

  11. How do I set up a new payment account online?

    To set up a payment account:

    1. Make sure you are logged in to My Verizon and go to the Payment Accounts” page.
    2. Click on the “Add New Account” link.
    3. Enter the necessary information to set up your payment account.

  12. Will I need to make a request each month to pay my bill?

    Yes, you will have to manually submit a payment each month unless you enroll in Auto Bill Pay.

  13. Can I schedule a one-time payment in advance?

    Yes, you can schedule a one-time payment up to seven days in advance when using a checking account. 

    To schedule a one-time payment:

    1. Go to the Pay Bill page in My Verizon.

    2. In the Payment Method section, select the option to pay with a new or saved checking account. You will be able to select a payment date up to seven days from the current date.

      1. If you are paying with a new checking account: From the Payment Date Options dropdown, select the payment date and then click Next.

      2. If you are paying with a saved checking account: Click Next and then select the payment date from the Select a Payment Date dropdown.

    3. Follow the prompts to complete the transaction.

    Note: You may cancel a scheduled payment up to the day before the payment date, but not on that day.

  14. After scheduling a payment I decided to make a manual payment. Will this cancel my scheduled payment?

    No, once you’ve scheduled a payment for a future date, it will be made unless you cancel it. You will need to manually cancel the scheduled payment. Note: You can cancel a scheduled payment up to a day before the payment date, but not on that day.

  15. My service is currently suspended but I just scheduled a future payment. Will I have to wait for the payment to post for my service to be reconnected?

    Yes, your payment must post before your service will be reconnected.

  16. There is a credit balance on my account; can I have this credited back to my credit card?

    No, credit balances will be applied to your next month’s balance.

  17. I've canceled my service and need to make a final payment, but I do not receive a paper bill. How do I do this?

    Even if your service is canceled, you will be able to sign in to My Verizon to make a payment if the Account Owner has set up a User ID other than his or her wireless number.

    Otherwise you will need to call Customer Service at (800) 922-0204 to make your final payment.

Auto Bill Pay

  1. What is Auto Bill Pay?

    Auto Bill Pay is a feature in My Verizon that allows you to set up a recurring monthly payment for your wireless bill. We will automatically withdraw your payment from your payment account every month.

  2. Why would I want to use Auto Bill Pay?

    Because Auto Bill Pay is set to make a payment each month, you won’t have to worry about ever making a late payment.

  3. How do I set up Auto Bill Pay?

    To set up Auto Bill Pay:

    1. Make sure you are logged in to My Verizon and go to the Manage Auto Pay” page.
    2. Click the radio button next to the payment method you wish to use for Auto Bill Pay.
    3. Click on the “Continue” button.
    4. Enter the requested information to complete the setup process.

  4. I have just enrolled in Auto Bill Pay, when will my first automatic payment take effect?

    If you enroll in Auto Bill Pay before the bill cycle end date for the current month, it will post this month. If you enroll after this month’s bill cycle end date, it will post next months and you will need to manually pay this month’s bill.

    Yes, you can make a one-time payment virtually anytime, even if you are set up for Auto Bill Pay.

  6. If I am set up for Auto Bill Pay how do I use a Verizon Wireless gift card to make a payment?

    Even if you are set up for Auto Bill Pay, you can make a one-time payment at anytime.

    To make a one-time payment while set up for Auto Bill Pay:

    1. Make sure you are signed in to My Verizon and go to the Payments” page.
    2. Select Verizon Wireless Gift Card as the payment method, and click on the “Next” button.
    3. Follow the prompts to complete the one-time payment.

  7. How do I update my automatic payment date?

    To update your automatic payment date:

    1. Make sure you are logged in to My Verizon and go to the Modify Auto Pay Account” page.
    2. Select a day number from the “Payment Day Options” dropdown.
    3. Click on the “Next” button.
    4. Check the box indicating you accept the Terms & Conditions.
    5. Click on the “Submit” button.

  8. Can I stop an Auto Bill Pay payment amount before my checking account or credit card is debited?

    You can cancel an automatic payment in My Verizon up to the day before it is set to post. However, you will not be able to cancel a payment on the day it is set to post.
