I am not currently a Verizon Wireless customer and would like to purchase a device and plan. How do I do this?
To purchase a new device and plan there are two options:
- Go to the Phones & Devices page to select a device first, and then choose from plans compatible with that device
Or
- Go to the Plans page to select a plan first, and then choose from devices compatible with that plan.

How do I add a new line of service in My Verizon?
To add a new line in My Verizon:
- Make sure you are signed in to My Verizon, and go to the My Verizon Home page.
- Click on the Add New Device link under the I Want To section of the page.
- Select the plan option that applies to you, and click on the Continue button.
- Follow the prompts to select a plan, device, features and accessories to complete your order.

How do I upgrade a phone online?
To upgrade a phone through My Verizon:
- Make sure you are signed in to My Verizon, and go to the "Upgrade Device" page to view your upgrade status.
- Select the device you wish to upgrade and click on the "Continue" button.
- Follow the prompts to select a device, features, accessories and to checkout.

How do I purchase accessories online?
To purchase accessories:
- Go to the Accessories page.
- From here you have the option to shop for accessories by device, accessory type or accessory brand. Choose how you want to shop and follow the prompts to purchase accessories.

How can I purchase a gift card online?
To purchase a gift card:
- Go to the Gift Cards page.
- Select the quantity and price of the gift card(s) you wish to purchase.
- Click on the Select & Continue button.
- Review your order and, when ready, click on the Continue to Checkout button.
- Follow the prompts to checkout and complete your order.

How do I check the balance on a Verizon Wireless gift card online?
To check the balance on a gift card:
- Go to the Gift Cards page.
- Click on the Check Your Balance link.
- Enter your gift card number and PIN number, and click on the Check Your Balance button. The gift card balance will display.

How do I check the status of an order online?
To check the status of an order:
- Go to the Check Order Status page.
- Enter the requested info and click on the Check Status button. The status of the specified order will display.

If I upgrade to a new device, will the charge go directly to my bill?
You must be signed up for the Bill to Account option in order to have equipment purchases and upgrades charged to your account.
Note: You must be a postpay customer with Verizon Wireless for at least 6 months in order to bill equipment to your account. It does not matter how long you have been registered for My Verizon.A $30 upgrade fee applies whenever you purchase a new device at a discount, with a contract extension, to replace an old device. This fee is in addition to the cost of the new device. It does not apply when a new device is purchased at the full retail price.

Where can I find my upgrade eligibility date online?
To locate your upgrade eligibility date in My Verizon:
- Make sure you are signed in to My Verizon, and go to the My Verizon Home page.
- If you have multiple devices on your account, select the mobile number, from the Select a line dropdown, that is associated with the device you want to upgrade.
- Click on the Phone Details button. Your upgrade eligibility date for that line will appear in the My Phone section.
A $30 upgrade fee applies whenever you purchase a new device at a discount, with a contract extension, to replace an old device. This fee is in addition to the cost of the new device. It does not apply when a new device is purchased at the full retail price.

I want to upgrade my device but am not currently eligible for an upgrade discount. What are my options?
If you are not eligible for an upgrade discount, we offer the following options for upgrading to a new device:
- Purchase a new device at the full retail price without extending your current agreement
- Purchase a Certified Like-New Replacement device
- Transfer upgrade eligibility from one line to another. If you have more than one line on your account, and one of the lines is eligible for an upgrade, you can transfer that eligibility to another line on your account.

How do I transfer upgrade eligibility from one line to another?
You can transfer upgrade eligibility to another line on your account when upgrading your device in My Verizon. When you transfer eligibility from one line to another, the original line is no longer eligible for the upgrade discount.
To transfer upgrade eligibility to another line:- Go to the Upgrade Device page in My Verizon.
- Click on Transfer Upgrade.
- Select the mobile number you want to upgrade. You have successfully transferred upgrade eligibility to a different line.
- Select the device you want to upgrade to and click Next. You will be guided through the rest of the steps to upgrade your device.
- Go to the Upgrade Device page in My Verizon.
