What is My Media Retrieval?
My Media Retrieval is a service that allows you to retrieve any previously Get It Now®/Media Center games, applications and Verizon Wireless ringtone content for your cell phone.

The phone number wishing to retrieve their media has to sign into My Verizon to use My Media Retrieval.

What if I do not see the applications and content that I recently downloaded in My Media Retrieval?
Applications and Verizon Wireless ringtones purchased prior to the device change may not be immediately available for retrieval. Allow up to 48 hours for new content to appear in My Media Retrieval.

What is available for me if I am not eligible for My Media Retrieval?
You can always access My Media at anytime to repurchase any games, applications and ringtone content that you previously purchased.

Who is eligible to use My Media Retrieval?
Any Verizon Wireless subscriber who has an active account and has recently switched their cell phone number to another Verizon Wireless device. The device must be a Get It Now®/Media Center-capable handset.

How long do I have to download my applications after receiving a successful retrieval in My Media Retrieval?
You will need to download applications within seven (7) days of when they appear in the folder to complete the retrieval.

Do I use Megabyte and (or) Airtime charges when using My Media Retrieval?
Depending on your plan, airtime or megabyte charges may apply when retrieving applications or games. Some applications may result in additional charges for sending/receiving data during use. Ringtones will be sent to your device via a picture message and will decrement from any applicable allowance or bundle.

How long do I have to use My Media Retrieval after an ESN change?
My Media Retrieval will be available for 90 days from time you received your new device. After 90 days you will be able to access My Media at anytime to repurchase any applications and ringtone content that you previously purchased.

Will all my applications and ringtone content be available to retrieve in My Media Retrieval?
Any applications and ringtone content not available for retrieval will be due to the application no longer available through Get It Now®/Media Center, device is not compatible or was not retrieved from the last device change, shall be grayed out, but available for the customer to view.

What devices can use My Media Retrieval?
My Media Retrieval will support Get It Now®/Media Center-capable devices that are capable of purchasing applications from verizonwireless.com. Cell phones that can receive a ringtone via a picture message are My Media Retrieval capable.

If I have a PDA device can I use My Media Retrieval?
All Verizon Wireless PDAs, Smartphones and BlackBerry® devices will be allowed to retrieve content through My Media Retrieval except for the BlackBerry Storm™ and BlackBerry Curve™, which can only receive Verizon Wireless ringtones.

Can I retrieve existing content via My Media Retrieval if I have any of the following features blocked: Get It Now®/Media Center, Messaging, Data?
The applicable blocks need to be removed before retrieving applications or ringtones. Before you can retrieve Games, Applications and Ringtone Content you must remove any of the Blocks you have in place.

To remove Get It Now/Media Center block in My Verizon, go to the "Add/Remove Features" page under "My Plan." Unselect the checkbox next to “Block Application Downloads," then click the "Continue" button. For Messaging and Data Block, the account holder must call Verizon Wireless customer care (#611 from your device or (800) 922-0204) to remove the block and then try again.
