Configure Corporate Email (Exchange Activesync) - Samsung Galaxy S® III

Note Contact the Exchange / IT administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.

Note The Samsung Galaxy S III is capable of  integrating SMS / text messages with Exchange Corporate email. To enable / disable this feature refer to step 23 of the Exchange Server Settings.

  1. From the home screen, select Apps (located in lower-right).
  2. From the APPS tab, select Settings.
  3. From the Accounts section, select the Exchange ActiveSync® account.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Select the exchange account name (located below General).
  6. Select Account name.
  7. Enter the name then select OK.
  8. Select Signature.
  9. Enter a signature then select OK.
  10. To set as the default account, select Default account.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  11. From the DATA USAGE section, select Auto download attachments.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  12. Select Period to sync email.
  13. Select one of the following:
    • Automatic
    • All
    • 1 day
    • 3 days
    • 1 week
    • 2 weeks
    • 1 month
  14. From the NOTIFICATION SETTINGS section, select Email notifications.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  15. Select Select ringtone.
  16. Select a ringtone then select OK.
  17. Select Vibrate.
  18. Select one of the following:
    • Always
    • Only when silent
    • Never
  19. From the SERVER SETTINGS section, select Exchange server settings.
  20. Ensure the appropriate information is entered into the following fields:
    • Domain\Username
    • Password
    • Server
  21. Ensure the following settings are configured correctly:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Use secure connection (SSL)
    • Accept all SSL certificates
  22. Select Done.
  23. Select any of the following then select Next:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Sync email
    • Sync contacts
    • Sync Calendar
    • Sync task
    • Sync SMS
      • If Sync SMS is checked it will allow the integration of your text messages with your Exchange email.
