Configure Corporate Email (Exchange Activesync) - Samsung Galaxy S® III
Contact the Exchange / IT administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is capable of integrating SMS / text messages with Exchange Corporate email. To enable / disable this feature refer to step 23 of the Exchange Server Settings.
- From the home screen, select Apps (located in lower-right).
- From the APPS tab, select Settings.
- From the Accounts section, select the Exchange ActiveSync® account.
- Select Settings.
- Select the exchange account name (located below General).
- Select Account name.
- Enter the name then select OK.
- Select Signature.
- Enter a signature then select OK.
- To set as the default account, select Default account.
Enabled when a check mark is present.
- From the DATA USAGE section, select Auto download attachments.
Enabled when a check mark is present.
- Select Period to sync email.
- Select one of the following:
- Automatic
- All
- 1 day
- 3 days
- 1 week
- 2 weeks
- 1 month
- From the NOTIFICATION SETTINGS section, select Email notifications.
Enabled when a check mark is present.
- Select Select ringtone.
- Select a ringtone then select OK.
- Select Vibrate.
- Select one of the following:
- Always
- Only when silent
- Never
- From the SERVER SETTINGS section, select Exchange server settings.
- Ensure the appropriate information is entered into the following fields:
- Domain\Username
- Password
- Server
- Ensure the following settings are configured correctly:
Enabled when a check mark is present.
- Use secure connection (SSL)
- Accept all SSL certificates
- Select Done.
- Select any of the following then select Next:
Enabled when a check mark is present.
- Sync email
- Sync contacts
- Sync Calendar
- Sync task
- Sync SMS
- If Sync SMS is checked it will allow the integration of your text messages with your Exchange email.
