Hard Reset - DROID BIONIC by Motorola
Performing a hard reset removes all data including the Google account, system data, app data, app settings, and downloaded apps. Only perform a hard reset if absolutely necessary.
Pictures, Videos and Music is also removed. It is recommended to backup this data.

Personal data such as Wi-Fi passwords, Browser bookmarks, User dictionary, a list of installed Play Store apps and other customized settings can be backed up to and restored from Google's servers.
Disable Automatic Restore prior to performing a hard (factory) reset when attempting to determine whether a 3rd party appl is the cause of an Operating System / App issue.

- From a home screen, select Apps (
located at the bottom).
- From the All Apps tab, select Settings.
- Select Privacy.
- Select Factory data reset.
- Select Reset phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern then select Next.
- Select Erase everything.
Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
- Initial Activation and Setup.
- Ensure the device is powered off.
- Press and hold the Power button (located on the top edge).
- Select Power off.
- Select OK.
If the device doesn't respond to input, remove and replace the battery.
- Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up/Down keys the press the Power button until the Boot Mode Selection Menu appears then release all keys / buttons.
- Press the Volume Down key to select Recovery then press the Volume Up key.
- From the Android triage screen (Android figure with an exclamation point), simultaneously press the Volume up and Volume down keys.
- Select wipe data/factory reset.
Utilize the Volume keys to highlight and the Power button to select.
- Select Yes -- delete all user data.
Allow several seconds for the factory data reset process to complete.
- Select reboot system now.
Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
