Hard Reset - Revolution™ by LG

Warning Performing a hard reset removes all data including the Google account, system data, app data, app settings, and downloaded apps. Only perform a hard reset if absolutely necessary.
 
Warning  Pictures, Videos and Music are also removed. It is recommended to backup this data.
Note Personal data such as Wi-Fi passwords, Browser bookmarks, User dictionary, a list of installed Market apps and other customized settings can be backed up to and restored from Google's servers.
 
Note When attempting to determine if a 3rd party app is the cause of an operating system / app issue on a device that does not support Automatic Restore, skip the Google Account setup during the initial setup of the device.
 
Note If the preferred method is not available, there is an alternate method.

Preferred Method

  1. From the Home screen, select Apps.
    From the Home screen, select Apps
  2. Select Settings (under Tools).

  3. Select Privacy.
    Select Privacy
  4. Select Factory data reset.

  5. Select Reset phone.
    Select Reset phone
  6. Select Erase Everything.

  7. Refer to Initial Activation and Setup.

Alternate Method

  1. Ensure the device is powered down.
  2. Press and hold the volume down key then press the power key.
    Note When the Permanently Erase screen appears, release the keys.
    Press and hold the volume down key then press the power key
  3. Press the Power key to perform the reset.

  4. Press the power key again to confirm.
    Note This boot process takes several moments, reference the progress bar located in the upper-right. If the device hangs or freezes, remove/replace the battery, refer to Inserting/removing the battery for additional assistance.
