Add a Gmail Account - Thunderbolt™ by HTC

1. From a home screen, select All apps (located at the bottom).
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Accounts & sync.
4. Select Add account.
5. Select Google^®.
6. Select one of the following:
   Existing
   New

Existing

1. Enter the following information then select Sign in.
   • Email
   • Password
2. If presented with Join Google+ screen, select Not now.
    Google+ setup can be resumed after completing account set up by navigating Apps > Google+ from a home screen.
3. If presented with Auto Sync screen, configure the following synchronization settings then select Next.
    Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    Available settings may vary.
   • Sync Calendar
   • Sync Contacts
   • Sync Gmail
   • Sync Google Photos
   • Sync Google Play Books
   • Sync Instant Upload

New

1. Enter the appropriate names in the following fields then select Next.
   • First
   • Last
2. Enter the preferred username then select Next.
3. Enter a password in the following fields then select Next.
    The password must be at least 8 characters.
   • Password
   • Re-type password
4. From the Recovery information screen:
   1. From the Recovery email address field, enter the preferred email address.
   2. Select the Choose a security question drop down menu ( ).
   3. Select one of the following:
      • First phone number?
      • Childhood best friend's name?
      • First teacher's name?
      • Manager's name at first job?
      • Vehicle registration number?
   4. Enter the appropriate Answer then select Next.
   5. From the Join Google+ screen, select Not now (located at the bottom).
       Google+ setup can be resumed after initial activation by navigating Apps > Google+ from the home screen.
   6. From the Finish creating account screen, select I accept.
   7. From the Authenticating screen, enter the appropriate characters then select Next.
   8. Configure the following synchronization settings then select Next (located at the bottom).
       Enabled when a check mark is present.
       Available settings may vary.
      • Sync Calendar
      • Sync Contacts
      • Sync Gmail
      • Sync Google Play Books
      • Sync Internet
