Hard Reset - DROID INCREDIBLE by HTC

Caution Performing a hard reset removes all data including the Google account, system data, app data, app settings, and downloaded apps. Only perform a hard reset if absolutely necessary.
Caution  Pictures, Videos and Music are also removed. It is recommended to backup this data.
Note Personal data such as Wi-Fi passwords, Browser bookmarks, User dictionary, a list of installed Market apps and other customized settings can be backed up to and restored from Google's servers.
Note When attempting to determine if a 3rd party application is the cause of an operating system / application issue on a device that does not support Automatic Restore, skip the Google Account setup during the initial setup of the device.

  1. From the home screen, select the applications tab (located in the lower-left).

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select SD & phone storage.

  4. From the Personal data section, select Factory data reset.

  5. Select the appropriate option:
    • Reset phone (Resets the phone)
    • Reset phone & Internal storage (Resets the phone and the internal storage)

  6. Select Erase everything.

Alternate method

  1. Remove then re-insert the battery.
  2. Press and hold the Power button+Volume down key simultaneously until the HBOOT screen appears then release.

  3. Select FACTORY RESET.
    Note Utilize the Volume up/down keys to highlight and the Power button to select.
    Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
