Download and Install Backup Assistant - BlackBerry® Tour™ 9630 smartphone

Note If on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, restrictions may be in place that prevent downloading and installing the application. Contact the BES Administrator for assistance.

Note To install Backup Assistant, BlackBerry device software 5.x (or higher) is required. Refer to one of the following for assistance:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button.
  2. Select BackupAssistant.
    Note If not available, refer to Alternate download method.
  3. Ensure the appropriate language is selected, review the User agreement then scroll to the bottom of the page.

  4. Select I agree to continue with the download and installation.

  5. Ensure Set Application Permissions is selected (checked) then select Download.
    Note The application version may differ from the example shown.

  6. Ensure all permissions are set to Allow, press the Menu button then select Save.

  7. If prompted, select Yes.
  8. Select OK.

Alternate download method

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button.
  2. Select Browser.
  3. Select BUA (Backup Assistant).
    Note If the VZStart page does not appear automatically, navigate to http://start.vzw.com.
  4. Select Download Backup Assistant.
  5. Ensure Set Application Permissions is selected (checked) then select Download.

  6. Ensure all permissions are set to Allow, press the Menu button then select Save.

  7. If presented, select Yes.
  8. Select OK.
