Hard Reset - DROID by MOTOROLA

Note Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.

  1. From the home screen, select the applications tab (located at the bottom).

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Privacy.

  4. Select Factory data reset.

  5. Select Reset phone.

  6. Select Erase Everything.

  7. Refer to Initial Activation and Setup.

Alternate Method

  1. With the device powered off, slide the keyboard open.

  2. Press the Power key and the X key simultaneously until the Recovery screen appears.
    Note The Recovery screen displays a graphic of an exclamation point within a triangle.

  3. Press and hold the Volume up key then press the Camera key.
    Note When the Recovery menu screen appears, release the keys.

  4. Using the Volume keys, select Wipe data factory Reset.

  5. Press the center of 5-way navigation pad.

  6. Using the Volume keys, select Yes -- delete all user data.

  8. Using the Volume keys select Reboot system now.
