Wireless Network Security Settings - Verizon MiFi 2200
- Launch a web browser then navigate to 192.168.1.1.
Refer to Connecting to a Wi-Fi network for additional assistance. Select the appropriate operating system:
Macintosh OS X
Windows 7
Windows Vista
Windows XP - Enter the password then click Login.
The default password is admin.
- From the Home page click Wi Fi.
- Ensure the desired options are selected then click Apply.
- Selected Profile
- Open
- No Wireless security is possible.
- Secure
- Wireless security must be enabled.
- Temporary Hotspot
- Security is enabled, and the network name (SSID) and security key are auto-generated.
- Network Name (SSID)
- Enter the desired Network Name (SSID)
Each profile must have a unique name.
- 802.11 Mode
- 802.11g + 802.11b
- 802.11g
- 802.11b
- 802.11g
- 802.11g + 802.11b
- Channel
- Select the desired channel.
If available, the Auto setting is recommended.
- Security
- WEP 64-bit
- WEP 128-bit
- WPA Personal/PSK (TKIP)

- Network Key
If the network key is changed, the network settings on the computer must updated. For additional assistance, select the appropriate operating system:

Windows XP- Pass code to access the Wi-Fi network
- Requirements depend upon the Security option selected.
- WEP 64-bit - 5 ASCII characters or 10 HEX characters.
- WEP 128-bit - 13 ASCII characters or 26 HEX characters.
- WPA Personal/PSK (TKIP) - ASCII string, 8 to 63 characters in length.
- WPA2 Personal/PSK (AES) - ASCII string, 8 to 63 characters in length.
