Selecting a Wireless Equivalent Privacy (WEP) key - Verizon 7501 Router

1. Access the Verizon Wireless 7501 Router configuration. Refer to Accessing the router configuration - Verizon 7501 Router for additional assistance.
2. From the Main screen, click Change Wireless Settings.
   
3. From section 5, ensure the desired settings are selected.

   Select WEP Key Entry Type

   ASCII

   Allows the key code to contain characters from (A-Z) and (0-9)

   Hex

   Allows the key code to contain characters from (A-F) and (0-9)

   Select WEP Key

   64 / 40-bit

   Standard encryption

   128 / 104-bit

   Extended encryption

   Key Code

   ASCII

   Must be 5 digits for 64 / 40-bit; 13 digits for 128 / 104-bit

   Hex

   Must be 10 digits for 64 /40-bit; 29 digits for 128 /104-bit

   
4. Click Apply (located at the bottom).
